MICHEL GIRAULT
Domaine Les Beaux Regards Sancerre
Family Owned and Operated
for 8 Generations
The family have crafted expressive Sauvignon Blanc for over eight generations. Their 12-hectare domain is planted with vines on flinty (Silex), chalky (Terre blanche) and limestone-pebble (Caillottes) soils, giving wines of precision, minerality and freshness.
The Girault family emphasises their focus on sustainability and expressing the vineyard site in the wine, working with the land rather than imposing heavy intervention. In their own words:
“We do our best to develop the characteristics of our rich and diversified terroir in order to produce complex and balanced wines.”
The vines and terroir is split between flint, clay-limestone and limestone between both Sancerre and Pouilly Fume. The family has now handed over the estate to the two brothers Anthony and Olivier Girault, the next generation.

2023 Domaine Les Beaux Regards Sancerre
2023 Domaine Les Beaux Regards Sancerre, Indent Price $43
This is a solid, fresh Sancerre. The faintest hints of smile-inducing baking spice open on the nose followed by grilled peach, quince and lemon citrus. The layered palate reveals pear, orange blossom and zested lemon.
91 Points, Reggie Solomon, Wine Enthusiast
“The 2023 Domaine Les Beaux Regards Sancerre appears a clear, pale gold color nin the glass. A concentrated nose with notes of citrus and exotic fruits leads to a feeling of finesse in the mouth with notes of wildflowers and limestone. Fresh and well-balanced on the finish.”
